Vishvesh Kakkeri, student of the Karnataka Law Society’s Gogte Institute of Technology (GIT), secured the first prize in the ‘Blitzkrieg-Flying Challenge’ conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, recently.
According to a press release here on Sunday, the event was part of the annual national technical event, TechFest, in which 6,000 students took part. Vishvesh, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student, participated in the Blitzkrieg ‘Radio Controlled Flying’ challenge where the competitors were required to fly their miniature aircraft in a given field, perform a set of manoeuvres and land the aircraft as smoothly as possible.
There were around 40 participants from across India and Vishvesh won the first prize, the press release added.
