With K. Janakiram withdrawing from the contest, H.D. Gangaraju was elected unopposed as president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) here on Saturday.

The tenure of the elected body is one year and the exhibition, distribution and production sectors will get priority by turn. The post of president was reserved for the distribution sector for 2013-14.

Mr. Gangaraju is heading the KFCC for the second time. He served a two year term from 2004.

Meanwhile, B.N. Gangadhar, M.N. Suesh and Jayaraj Gubbi have been elected vice-presidents representing production, distribution and exhibition sectors.

Sa.Ra. Govindu, Navashakti Nagaraj and Thomos D’Souza got elected as general secretaries. Singari Mahadev is the treasurer.

“I will strive hard to bring a common entry rate for all theatres, including multiplexes, to attract more audience,” Mr. Gangaraju told presspersons.
