Gang robs family of jewellery worth Rs. 3 lakh

A gang of people barged into a farm house in Nernahalli and robbed a family of jewellary worth Rs. 3 lakh on Friday night.

The police said around 10 people wearing monkey caps entered the farm house of Muniyappa on the outskirts of the village on Mulbagal Road off NH 4. They brandished lethal weapons and snatched jewellery from the women, Deputy Superintendent of Police Srihari Baragur told The Hindu .

They tied the hands of the residents of the house and locked a pregnant woman and a girl in a room.

A couple of people were injured in the attack and they are being treated at a private hospital.

There were eight people in the house when the incident happened.

Inspector general of Police (Central Range) Amar Kumar Pande and Superintendent of Police Ram Nivas Sepat visited the house. Mr. Baragur said two teams had been formed to nab the culprits.
