A youth was robbed off Rs. 1.92 lakh when a few persons diverted his attention and escaped with the money on Saturday. The police said that Sanketh Pulse had withdrawn money from a local bank at Surpur town in Yadgir district. When he stepped out of the bank, the thieves diverted his attention by saying that a few notes had fallen on the road from his pocket. When Pulse tried to pick the notes, the thieves escaped with the cash kept on his two-wheeler.

Pulse had drawn money on behalf of his contractor. A case has been registered.
