Global Business School to organise the event

15 institutions have confirmed their participation

The events will test the management acumen of students

HUBLI: Twenty business schools from Karnataka and neighbouring States are expected to participate in a two-day national level management festival, Galacto-08, to be held in Hubli from Friday.

Global Education Network Society’s Global Business School, which is in the first year of its establishment, is organising the event.

Society president Santosh Huralikoppi told presspersons here on Monday that 15 business schools had confirmed their participation in the event.

Mr. Huralikoppi said the events would test the skills of the participants in marketing, human resource management, business plan and stocks.

The exposure would help the budding managers enhance their creativity and practical knowledge. Through the event, the students of the institution would get a feel of event management skills and hospitality, he said.

On the institution, he said, the society comprised a group of people from diverse background such as industry, trade and academics. Global Business School was modelled on the corporate lines.

The AICTE-approved institution was established in September 2007 and was affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad.

The school offered a two-year MBA and an evening MBA programme for working executives under the Karnataka State Open University, Mr. Huralikoppi said.
