A fusion of two cultures promises to serve up a treat as the Attakkalari Repertory and Germany-based choreographer Samir Akika will be performing under the banner, Germany and India 2011- 2012: Infinite Opportunities, on February 24.

Mr. Akika, along with his team consisting of Nora Ronge (who will choreograph dance and movement) and Rasmus Nordholt (who will provide the music), will share the stage with dancers from the Attakkalari Repertory. According to a release, the performance will offer an “unusual perspective on urban experiences”.

Algerian-born Samir Akika is a choreographer, director and curator, whose productions under the label Unusual Symptoms have won him laurels in Germany.

The collaboration is a part of the Urban Avant-garde project presented by the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan, Bangalore. The show is at 6 p.m., February 24, at the Attakkalari Studios (near the Shantinagar bus depot in Wilson Garden).
