SIRSI: A total of Rs. 44.48 crore as grant has been sanctioned for Sirsi constituency for development projects by the coalition Government, MLA Vivekananda Vaidya has said.

Speaking to presspersons here on Monday at the Public Works Department Bungalow, he said Rs.1.5 crore under the MLA quota was utilised for development projects.

For Siddapur taluk in his constituency, Rs. 27.75 crore was spent on hospitals, schools, drinking water, tanks, roads, infrastructure and other projects, Mr. Vaidya added.
