Friday Balcao, a fortnightly discussion event to be held on May 9, will focus on tracking missing and vulnerable children in Goa. It will be from 4pm to 6pm at the Goa Desc Resource Centre Mapusa in north Goa and is open to members of the public.
In the recent past cases of missing persons not being found and missing children later found abused and even killed has been reported by the media in Goa. It is believed that around 150 missing persons remain untraced in Goa every year. The Goa Human Rights Commission has recently directed the Director General of Police to submit case-wise details of missing children in Goa within the next three months.
