Cancer can be completely cured through surgery, if detected in earlier stages, Ganesh Rao, surgical oncologist at the Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology, said here on Sunday.
He was speaking at the free cancer detection camp organised by the hospital here. More than 200 people attended the camp.
The programme was inaugurated by Director of Bharath Hospital, Bhagya Ajaikumar.
She spoke about the role played by the hospital in the fight against cancer in the last 20 years. The hospital would continue to serve people, she added.
