BANGALORE: Lalitha Prasad (57), former Superintendent of the Boys Observation Home, on Wednesday died of burns that he sustained when a water heater exploded in his house near the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences on November 25.

Mr. Prasad was known for his work at the Observation Home in Madivala.

“Mr. Prasad had taken charge just after 47 boys escaped from the house last year. He brought several reforms in the Observation Home,” said Deputy Director of the Department of Women and Child Welfare H.C. Chidanand.
