The Bangalore-based Federation of Konkani Catholic Associations (FKCA), a premier organisation representing Konkani Catholics, has selected three persons for its awards for 2013.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Pascal Alan Nazareth, former Indian Ambassador and ex-Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi, the Professional Excellence Award was given to Melvyn Rodrigues, Konkani poet and writer, who is also the Director-Operations, Daijiworld Media Pvt. Ltd., while the Entrepreneur of the Year Award was bagged by Raphael Sequeira, who has been running three companies — Reliable Clothing Pvt. Ltd., Reliable Spaces Pvt. Ltd. and Reliable Business Solution & Services Pvt. Ltd.

The awards will be presented at the annual federation day of FKCA at St. Joseph’s Indian High School Grounds here on January 27, said FKCA Chairperson Aida D’Cunha in a press release here.

The former External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna will be the chief guest. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G. Parameshwara, Archbishop of Bangalore Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras and the former chairman of FKCA Valerian R. Fernandes will participate.
