Bellary is one of the centres for conducting the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) 2013 for lectureship.
The exams will be held on December 8 at five colleges in the city, according to Manjappa Hosmane, Vice-Chancellor of Vijayanagar Sri Krishnadevaraya University.
Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, he said this was the first time that Bellary had been chosen as a centre for the convenience of students in Hyderabad-Karnataka region taking up the exam. The exams will be conducted at Government First Grade College, S.N. Pet, Municipal Junior College, Basavarajeswari Public School/College, Vasavi PU College and Chaitanya PU college at Gandhi Nagar. As many as 3,626 students are expected to take the test.
Prof. Hosmane said all candidates should note their examination centre announced on the K-SET website and bring their admission card.
However, candidates who do not possess the admission card, can obtain it at the respective nodal centre by giving a request letter along with a copy of the application/challan/roll number and proof of address as entered in their online application and also their photo identity. Students should also get two passport size photographs, he added.
