`Fill up posts of drawing teacher in government schools'

GULBARGA: Members of the Bahujan Shoshita Samaj Sangarsha Samiti on Monday staged a dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Gulbarga demanding the filling up all vacant posts of drawing teacher in government primary and high schools immediately.

In a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and submitted to the district authorities, the samiti said for the past several years the posts of the drawing teachers in the government primary and high schools remained vacant depriving students of an important skill. The non-recruitment of drawing teachers had also resulted in the unemployment of thousands of trained teachers . The memorandum demanded that the Government fill up all vacancies in other subjects .
