Assistant professor Srinivas, who along with assistant professor Vedamurthy and principal V. Krishnappa, among others, observed the fast, said, “The recent events at the national level had influenced us to fast and spread the message of peace.”

Mr. Srinivas referred to the fasts observed by social activist Anna Hazare and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. “We are distributing pamphlets with messages on world peace through our students so as to reach out to more number of people,” he added.
