The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) is organising a “Workshop on film-making” from June 6 to 30 in the city, to empower film enthusiasts with the instruments to create a film .


This workshop will disseminate knowledge on the structure of film making; and will cover five important modules viz. screenplay writing, acting, cinematography, editing and direction. The prime motive of the workshop is to educate the students with in-depth knowledge of different aspects of film-making. The workshop will feature eminent film personalities from Indian cinema who will teach the students on the creative and technical aspects of film making.


The trainer are reputed filmmakers Shaji Karun, Sudhir Mishra, and Sanjay Chouhan, film editor Amitabh Shukla, actor Meeta Vasisth, A.S. Kanal, Professor of Cinematography, Film and Television, Institute of India, Pune, and Umesh Gupta, Senior Professor, editing, department at Whistling Woods International. The course fee for the workshop is Rs. 500 and Rs. 100 per module and is on first come first serve basis.
