The Government High School at Kodambal in Humnabad taluk has won the district-level Parisara Mitra Award.

P.C. Jaffer, Deputy Commissioner, presented a certificate and cash award of Rs. 20,000 to the school headmaster Manohar Rao. Parisara Vahini, a Humnabad-based NGO, had adopted the school.

Ten schools have won the Green School Award and 10 others the Orange School Award.

Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh, zilla panchayat CEO, and Sunil Panwar, Deputy Conservator of Forests, distributed the prizes.
