GULBARGA: The three-day 27th Karnataka State Annual Conference of ENT and Head and Neck Surgeons will be inaugurated at Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College here on Friday by Minister for Medical Education Ramachandra Gowda.

Chairman of the conference organising committee Mallikarjun Reddy told presspersons here on Tuesday that the State-level conference would be held in Gulbarga city after over 45 years. He also announced that the theme of the conference was, “Further education in the field of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery”.

Over 250 delegates from all over the State and another 250 delegates from the Hyderabad Karnataka region would be participating in the conference during which over 100 papers would be presented and discussed Five eminent ENT surgeons — B.G. Jawali, Karanje Vaijnath, T.A. Patil, A.M. Pathan and Gutti Vaijnath — will be felicitated for their contribution to the field. Dinesh Singh, who has secured the highest marks in ENT subjects at the Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College, will also be felicitated. On the inaugural day, technical session will be opened by A. Mahadevaiah and Dr. Jawali.
