Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) Chairman and Managing Director H.Y.Dora on Wednesday made it clear that seven hours power supply should be ensured to ryots without fail.

He reviewed the APSPDCL functioning with Superintendenting Engineer D.Jayabharath, Director(Operations) C.Radhakrishnan, Director(Projects) Ram Singh Thakur, Zone Chief Engineer K.Raja Bapaiah here.

Failure of transformers

On transformers failure complaints from Kanigiri and Markapur areas, he told reporters that the High Voltage Distribution systems, being taken up at a cost of Rs. 150 crore, were being speeded up.

He said transformer failures should be attended to within 24 hours in urban areas and within 48 hours in rural areas.
