Farmers of the Joida taluk are facing the problems of repeated attack by tuskers and the destruction of the crops worth thousands of rupees. A group of three elephants destroyed the coconut and areca plantation and a sugarcane farm at Tambade village near Potoli Gram Panchayat in Joida taluk on Tuesday night. The elephants attacked the plantations belonging to Gangadhar Patil, Vithob Gouda, and Malu Gavada and uprooted the palms. Later, the elephants raided the sugarcane farm and banana plantation in the village.
