Chikmagalur: Blood tests have revealed that eight persons in Gantanaika Estate, Sheegodu and Devagodu villages in Koppa taluk have been infected by Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD). According to a press release, there is no cure for the disease and it can be controlled by preventive measures like vaccines. Camps to vaccinate people will be held in KFD-prone areas of the district on March 20 and March 22.
