Bangalore: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Janwadi Mahila Samiti (JMS) on Friday held a demonstration demanding that the State Government investigate the activities of Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Muthalik.

The demand is a fallout of a sting operation carried out by Tehelka magazine in which Mr. Muthalik was shown allegedly accepting a bribe to stage a riot at an art exhibition. Lingaraju, the district secretary of the DYFI, and Gowrammu, district secretary of the JMS, said that the sting operation provided enough evidence for the Government to order an investigation.

‘Inaction of BJP'

The demonstrators also alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party Government in the State was not carrying out the required investigations on the involvement of the Sene in some of the acts of communal violence reported in Mangalore and other places.
