The Dalit Sangharsh Samithi (DSS) will stage a demonstration in the city on Monday to condemn the rise in atrocities against the community members. The DSS activists will assemble outside the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police and express their outrage against police apathy.

The DSS cited two incidents in which members of the dalit community were either harassed or subjected to atrocities and attributed this to police inaction. They said the police should take proactive measures to ensure such incidents did not recur. — Special Correspondent
