M.P. Ravindra, Congress candidate from Harapanahalli Assembly segment and son of M.P. Prakash, former Deputy Chief Minister, has appealed to people “not to yield to money, liquor, or any other temptations offered by Bharatiya Janata Party candidate G. Karunakar Reddy”.

Addressing a public meeting at Sasvihalli in Harapanahalli taluk on Wednesday, Mr. Ravindra alleged that the Reddy brothers had made it a habit of buying votes. He held the Reddy brothers responsible for “giving the State a bad name, as being the most corrupt State in the country”.

He said that since the Election Commission had taken up number of steps to check distribution of money, liquor and saris to attract voters, the May 5 polls would be held in a fair manner. He exuded confidence that he would win with a thumping majority.

Horticulture Minister S.A. Ravindranath organised a roadshow in Shekarappa Nagar, Mustafa Nagar, Hale Kadlebalu, Hosa Kadlebalu, Arasapura, Valmiki Nagar and Obajjihalli.
