Subroto Bagchi addresses students graduating from SDMIMD
Mindtree Ltd. chairman Subroto Bagchi on Friday said students were responsible for creating institutions to ensure the country’s success, not just to build their career.
He was speaking at the 19th annual convocation of the Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD). Mr. Bagchi said the country’s success depended on the quality of institutions it produced. Therefore, students should also look at building institutions, he said.
He asked graduating students not to lose empathy, no matter how many qualifications or experience they accumulated in life. He urged them to be resilient.
“In case of ups and downs, in life or in professions, don’t become desperate. You must develop qualities to overcome difficulties,” he said.
As many as 180 students received their PG diplomas in management; these students specialise in marketing, finance, HR, operations and systems. They received the certificates from S. Prabhakar, secretary, SDM Educational Trust, Ujire.
