TUMKUR: Individuals and organisations sharing concern over corruption in government offices will begin a dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office here on Wednesday morning. Human rights activist L.R. Narayanachar said on Tuesday the dharna was in protest against the recent statement by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy that the Government faced a legal hurdle in continuing N. Venkatachala as the Lokayukta for another term.

Legal experts believed that the law permitted the continuation of Mr. Venkatachala for one more term, Mr. Narayanachar said.

He said the dharna would begin at 11 a.m.
