The Save National Highway 66 Committee has demanded the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) construct a flyover at Brahmavar, about 15 km from Udupi, instead of a ramp.

Convener of the Committee Govindaraj Hegde said the construction of the ramp would divide the Brahmavar town into two parts and create a lot of inconvenience to the people.

The Committee threatened to call for a Brahmavar bandh on September 19 if NHAI fails to find a solution by September 17.
