The Welfare Party of India (Karnataka) welcomed the new law on sexual harassment of women at the workplace that now brings under its purview domestic workers, agricultural workers, and employees of corporations and aided government institutions. The party observed that the law can bear fruit only if it is enforced properly. It pointed out that the callous and casual attitude of the law enforcing agencies comes in the way of the implementation of the law and sought free and fair investigation of cases.
