Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister T.B. Jayachandra has said that the Cabinet will soon take a decision on revenue land allotted to industries but not yet transferred to them.

After inaugurating a sports meet of government employees, he told presspersons here on Tuesday that though the government has sanctioned the land to the industries, the Revenue Department has not transferred the land to them. He said that 13,000 acres of revenue land in Tumkur district has not been transferred to industries, though units have been established there.

He said that this was a set-back to industrial development.

He said that only 84 acres of land has been transferred to a food park of the 110 acres sanctioned in Vasanthanarasapura industrial area here.

Deputy Commissioner K.S. Sathyamurthy and ZP CEO Govindaraju were present.
