About 350 people participate in the 21.1-km run
MYSORE: The Dasara Half Marathon, which was held here on Thursday, drew a good response from amateur athletes and college students.
The event was inaugurated by Minister for Textiles, Youth Services and Sports Gulihatti D. Shekar and Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Shobha Karandlaje, both of whom ran a considerable distance from the Palace North Gate to K.R. Circle.
This was the sixth edition of the Dasara Half Marathon.
About 350 people participated in the 21.1-km run, hitting the Mysore-Bangalore highway to reach Srirangapatna where the marathon concluded.
The roads were blocked for some time. An ambulance, doctors and volunteers were on standby in case of an emergency.
In addition to the half marathon, events for college and high students were held.
