The Dam Safety Review Panel (DSRP) and officials of the Karnataka Power Corporation have jointly inspected the Kadra and Kodasalli dams in Karwar on Monday. The dams are 30 years old. The maximum level of the Kadra dam is 34.5 metres and the present water-level in the dam is 30.5 metres. The expert teams inspected the water leakage points in the dams and the pitching of the dam and safety conditions. The team is expected to submit its report to the government soon.
