The IT/ITES Employees Centre (ITEC), a welfare and support forum for workers in the tech industry, is conducting a cultural evening with northeast Indians living in Bangalore. The programme aims to use arts and culture to promote national integrity and highlight the issues that came to the fore during the recent exodus the northeast Indian community from Bangalore.

The programme, slated to be held between 4.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, includes a play staged by IT professionals, a panel discussion on the issue, and cultural performances from the northeast, a release from ITEC stated.

It is being held at the YMCA in Koramangala, 6th Block.

ITEC had conducted campaigns during the peak of the exodus at the Majestic and Yeshwantpur railway stations, and worked with northeast Indians working in the IT/BPO sector in Bangalore.
