A jobseeker who was crossing the railway track while listening to music on her headphones was killed by a train at the level-crossing near Kodigehalli gate near Hebbal Thursday morning.

Byappanahalli police said Pramila (37), who was on her way to seek a job in a garment factory, was so engrossed in the music that neither did she notice the moving train nor the warning shouts from passersby. She came under the wheels of a special train leaving Yeshwantpur around 11.30 a.m., police said.

Pramila, mother of two teenaged sons, was married to Muniraju, a labourer at a marble unit in Kodigehalli.
