TUMKUR: Communist Party of India (Marxist) Karnataka Secretariat member G.V. Sriramreddy has warned the “mathadhipatis” against promoting the political agenda of the B.S. Yeddyurappa Government.
Talking to presspersons here on Saturday, Mr. Sriramreddy said it was unfortunate that a few “mathadhipatis” had come out openly in favour of the Yeddyurappa government, which “has been put on notice for its failure to curb the alleged vandalism by the activists of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh against Christians and Muslims in several parts of the State”.
He took strong objection to some “mathadhipatis” meeting the Governor and seeking a law against religious conversions.
