Bangalore: The Puducherry police, who are on the trail of Nithyananda, had to return empty-handed as the Ramanagaram court refused to hand over the accused to their custody. A police team filed an application before the magistrate and requested the court for custody of Nithyananda. Since day-to-day hearings in the case are going on in Ramanagaram, the magistrate did not entertain the application. A former devotee had lodged a cheating case against Nithyananda in Puducherry.

Hearing of the bail application of Nithyananda will come up before Ramanagaram court on Thursday.
