: Speakers highlighted the contribution of Jains and Sharanas to Kannada literature at the Belgaum district Kannada Sahitya Parishat’s (KSP) ‘Sahitya Sankranti Sambhrama’, at the Kannada Sahitya Bhavan here on Sunday.

H.A. Parshwanath of S.D.M. College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad, and Prakash Girimallannavar, a young writer from Belgaum, spoke about how Jains and Sharanashelped enrich Kannada literature in the 12th century. District KSP president Y.R. Patil presided over the function.
