BIDAR: Congress members held a protest rally in Aurad on Wednesday, against the Janata Dal (S)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition Government saying it had failed on all fronts.

Protestors said similar rallies would be organised in all taluks and they vowed to continue the agitation till the Government fell.

Party workers and leaders walked in a rally from the Agriculture Market Circle to the Tehsil ffice. They shouted slogans against the State Government and alleged that it was anti- people, anti-farmer and anti-poor.

Leaders, who addressed the rally at the Tehsil office, said the Government had neglected development works. They took objection to the Government's "haste" in introducing English from the first standard. They questioned the reason behind the delay in investigating the cause of violence in Bangalore after the death of actor Dr. Rajkumar. Party district president V.K. Patil; MLC Quazi Arshad Ali; and other leaders were present.
