Tumkur district in-charge Minister S. Shivanna has accused the Congress of trying to cash in on Wednesday’s bomb explosion in Bangalore.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Shivanna alleged that Congress leaders Siddaramaiah and A.H. Vishwanath were making allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party as if it were directly responsible for the blast.

After reading about the allegations made by the Congress leaders on the bomb blast, he said that he suspected that the Congress was trying to use the issue for political gain.

Meanwhile, more than 50 Janata Dal (Secular) activists joined the BJP.
