MANGALORE: He can speak no words. But, Subramanya communicates, through the strokes of his brush. Having lost his speech at birth, he proves that language is no barrier for art, says Manohar, brother of the upcoming artist. Subramanya's tryst with painting began in school. Along with pursuing his studies at Dakshina Kannada Higher Primary School in Kuthethur, he painted in his free time. He received training at Prasad Art Gallery in Mangalore.
Subramanya's works include water-based, oil-based and charcoal-based paintings. His first exhibition called "varnaninanda" (different hues) will be held at Prasad Art gallery between November 23 and 26. Mohan Alva, chairman, Alva's Education foundation, will inaugurate the exhibition. It will be on from 10.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.on all the days.
