Colourful procession marks Madiwala Machideva Jayanti

Madiwala Machideva Jayanti was celebrated here on Thursday.

Devotees took out a procession in the morning with young boys and girls dressed up as Madivala Machideva, and sang songs in praise of him.

Later, at a function, Sri Basavalinga Pattaddevaru of Bhalki Hiremath urged members of the community to remain united. He asked them to donate a part of their earnings for the community development and charity. Sri Siddharama Sharana of Beldal urged the community to remain united as a political force and elect leaders who were committed to welfare of the community. Among those present were political leaders Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli, Anil Biradar, Bandeppa Kashempur and others.
