TUMKUR: Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology (CIT), Gubbi, Tumkur District, has offered to provide “free engineering education” to financially backward and meritorious students of six districts — Tumkur, Hassan, Shimoga, Mysore, Chitradurga and Davangere.

G.B. Jyotiganesh, managing director of CIT group of institutions, said in a release here on Thursday that selections would be made through a test – CIT Admission Test, scheduled to be held at CIT on June 12. Students who have obtained 60 per cent marks and above in physics, chemistry and mathematics in the II PUC Examination 2009, may apply on a plain paper before June 10.
