It was organised exclusively for Kannada-medium students
GULBARGA: A week-long coaching camp for SSLC students to prepare them for the new system of "multiple choice questions" being introduced in the SSLC examinations this year concluded here on Saturday.
The free coaching camp, with the help of experts drawn from different schools, was organised by the National Students Union of India (NSUI) exclusively for Kannada-medium students from 35 schools in Gulbarga.
NSUI State unit Secretary Kiran Deshmukh told The Hindu here on Saturday that the coaching camp was organised in Mathematics and General Science as they were considered difficult subjects.
The camp, which was inaugurated on January 16, got good response with over 800 students turning up for classes. They were divided into nine groups and classes were conducted for two hours every day from 5 p.m. at the Siddartha Law College in the city.
Mr. Deshmukh said 12 teachers, who were good in Mathematics and Science, conducted the coaching classes.
A similar camp will be organised for students during the study holidays prior to the examinations.
