Accounts of expenditure incurred will be made public on October 31

MYSORE: The Dasara sub-committees have been directed to clear outstanding dues to those whose services had been availed of for the festivities. They have also been told to submit details of the accounts to the Dasara Festival Committee before October 30.

In all probability, the final statement of accounts of the expenditure incurred for the festivities would be made known on October 31.


Deputy Commissioner P. Manivannan, who was Dasara Special Officer, held a meeting with the officials who had been entrusted with the responsibilities of the sub-committees here on Friday.

Official sources told The Hindu that the Deputy Commissioner had asked the officials to prepare the accounts of expenditure and submit them to the chartered accountants roped in to prepare the final statement of the accounts.

The sources said the Deputy Commissioner warned of action against officials who failed to come out with the accounts before the deadline.
