The Karnataka Bala Vikas Academy (KBA), in association with the Initiative for Research and Innovation in Science, will hold a Children’s Science Fest on December 13 and 14 and present the Bala Vijnani (Child Scientist) Award to 10 children.

KBA chairman Mahesh Tenginkai told presspersons here on Thursday that the first Children’s Science Festival would be held on the Basel Mission Boys School premises.

The KBA conducted a State-level science fest in Madikeri recently. Thirty-five teams were shortlisted to take part in the event to be held in Dharwad. Of these, 10 teams would be selected for the award.

The winning teams would receive a purse of Rs. 10,000, a citation and a certificate, he said.
