The consistent absence of Chief Ministers year after year at the Nrupatunga Award ceremony made Baragur Ramachandrappa wonder if there was a “superstition” associated with it just as there was one associated with Chamarajanagar. He said that while Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had broken the prevalent superstition about Chief Ministers visiting Chamarajanagar losing their position recently by visiting the place, he missed the chance of breaking one such belief by attending the award ceremony, he said. The good thing, however, was that he was meeting common people at the same time through the Janata Darshan, he said and thanked Mr. Siddaramaiah for calling him the previous day and congratulating him for the award.
