'BJP's image has been sullied because of the behaviour of some of its Ministers'
HASSAN: Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) president K.S. Puttannaiah has described the announcement made by Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on fixing support price for paddy as a clear violation of the election code of conduct.
He was addressing Mayasandra village in Hassan taluk on Friday, where he had come to attend a condolence meeting for farmers' leader Mari Gowda.
Mr. Puttannaiah charged that the Union Government had already announced support price for paddy and the State Government had made the same announcement, which was only to mislead farmers.
He said that the KRRS activists would meet the Prime Minister to seek support price for main crops.
Mr. Puttannaiah claimed that the image of the Bharatiya Janata Party Government had been sullied because of the behaviour of some of its Ministers.
