The Chicago Children’s Choir, a multi-racial, multi-cultural choral music education organisation, that shapes the future of children and youth through music, will conduct a workshop and perform at Bishop Cotton Boys’ School.

According to a communiqué from the U.S. Consulate General, Chennai, the Chicago Children’s Choir will participate in a workshop with 30 children from the Featherlite Pottery Town Government High School, who are part of the Bangalore School of Music’s outreach program.

The workshop will be held on Friday at the Bishop Cotton Boys’ School auditorium at 2.30 p.m.

On Saturday, the Choir and the 30 children will perform select songs together at the public concert that will be held at 6.30 p.m.

Founded in 1956, the Chicago Children’s Choir currently serves 3,000 children, aged between eight and 18, through choirs in 51 schools, as well as after-school programmes in eight Chicago neighbourhoods and the internationally acclaimed Concert Choir.
