HUBLI: General Manager of South Western Railway Kuldeep Chaturvedi has expressed satisfaction over functioning of the railway stations on the Hotgi-Alamatti section.
Mr. Chaturvedi visited the section under Hubli Division with Divisional Railway Manager of Hubli Adesh Sharma and other senior railway officials on Wednesday as part of annual inspection of the division.
Mr. Chaturvedi lauded Mr. Sharma and his team of officials for proper maintenance of the section.
According to a press release issued by SWR, the General Manager began his inspection from the bridge across the Bhima near Padnur village where he was felicitated by the people of the village. At the Lachyan station, people submitted a memorandum seeking stoppage for Solapur-Yashwanthpur Golgumbaz Express. Mr. Chaturvedi and his team visited Indi Road station.
After inspection, he inaugurated the upper class and general class waiting halls, renovated concourse area and pay and use toilets. People of Indi requested the General Manager to provide stoppage for Garib Rath Express bound for Shirdi on Indi Road, provide stoppage and divert trains to Jodhpur and Ajmer via Indi Road and to extend the services of Bijapur-Yashwanthpur Inter-City Express to Hubli.
