Outgoing president of the Akhila Bharath Veerashaiva Mahasabha Bheemanna Khandre accused the Government of interfering in the affairs of the mahasabha and protecting those expelled by the organisation. Speaking to presspersons here on Wednesday, Mr. Khandre said the mahasabha was an apolitical organisation and vested interests in the BJP wanted to damage their reputation by levelling “unfounded” charges of financial irregularities against him, after his refusal to support the former Chief Minister B.S.
