A candidate contesting the election to the Mysore City Corporation (MCC) can spend up to Rs. 3 lakh while those contesting to town municipal councils and town panchayats can spend up to Rs. 1.5 lakh and Rs. 1 lakh. In Mysore district, 22 nodal officers had been appointed to verify the election expenditure, including

the vehicles used for election campaign and publicity materials

such as posters, banners and hoardings.

The accounts will be checked by the nodal officers.
