Anjali Nimbalkar, contesting from Khanapur, allegedly got group accident insurance cover for voters

A case has been booked against Anjali Nimbalkar, Independent candidate contesting the Assembly elections from the Khanapur constituency, on charges of bribery, undue influence and indulging in corrupt practices. The case was filed by the Returning Officer (RO) of Khanapur after conducting inquiry into a complaint lodged by one Dasarath Shankar Banoshi on March 27, alleging that Dr. Nimbalkar was bribing all voters of the constituency by providing them group accident insurance cover. Disclosing this to journalists, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Munish Moudgil said here on Friday that the Khanapur police had taken up investigation into the case.
